Request summary
The United Nations Statistics Division (DESA/SD) is proposing to provide funding for two resource experts and for two UNSD staff to co-organize and co-lead a Regional Workshop on International Statistical Classifications that will be hosted by the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 5-7 May 2026.
This regional course aims to help participants acquire knowledge and skills to deepen their understanding of the principles and methodology of international statistical classifications. The course will review recent developments in classifications and provide guidance on the development and implementation of classifications.
The proposal concerns a total budget of US$67,832 covering the participation of two resource experts. This proposal also covers the travel of two DESA/UNSD staff members for co-organizing and co-leading the workshop, and the hiring of a consultant to develop compilation guidance notes for the implementation of ISIC Rev.5 and CPC Ver.3.0
