The Government of Lao PDR requests targeted post-LDC graduation support (2026–2029) to consolidate gains under the Smooth Transition Strategy and strengthen resilience following graduation in 2026. Priority assistance is sought in debt sustainability and fiscal management, capacity building and institutional coordination, technology and innovation (including digitalization), and international advocacy—notably evidence to support extended transition measures at forums such as the WTO—with support led by UN DESA (CDP Secretariat/EAPD) and OHRLLS, in collaboration with other UN partners, and leveraging ongoing CLEWs and OG-Core modelling work to inform fiscal and sustainability planning.
