The Government of Tanzania, through the National Planning Commission, formally requests UN support to assist the country’s preparation for graduation from the LDC category. The request covers analytical and capacity-building support, including: (i) a study on the impacts of LDC graduation, particularly the loss of LDC-specific differential treatment and related trade policy options; (ii) analysis of ongoing changes in international development cooperation and their implications for Tanzania; and (iii) support for the Doha Programme of Action Mid-Term Review, including stakeholder workshops, with a view to ensuring a smooth and well-managed transition.
