This letter expresses the interest of the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee (CBC), together with CAROSAI, PASAI, and AFROSAI-E, in collaborating with UN DESA and requesting funding support for the SIDS-CCC Collaborative, a CBC-led initiative aimed at strengthening Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in Small Island Developing States and other complex and challenging contexts. Building on research conducted by HEC Business School and a jointly developed response plan, the initiative focuses on practical, context-sensitive solutions such as tailored audit manuals, fit-for-purpose audit software, and measures to reinforce SAI independence, with the aim of scaling impact, enhancing resilience, and strengthening good governance and sustainable development in these vulnerable contexts.
