Request summary
The Government of Uttarakhand, India, through a letter from Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, has formally expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration with the United Nations on infrastructure asset management following a successful peer-learning workshop in Dehradun co-organized with UN DESA. The Government has proposed to co-organize and co-fund a second regional peer-learning workshop in 2026, with a view to positioning Uttarakhand as a hub for capacity development and knowledge exchange in the Global South. They have also shared their ambition to establish a Center for Peer Learning on Infrastructure Asset Management for the Global South, which would serve as a platform to institutionalize this agenda and promote long-term regional cooperation.
