Request summary
NITDA’s request to DPIDG (via Arpine) is to initiate a technical collaboration with UN DESA aimed at advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation. Specifically, they proposed:
- Conducting a research project titled “Impact of Digital Technology on Nigeria’s Economy: Key Growth Indicators, Gaps, and Future Outlook.”
Institutionalizing this into an Annual Nigerian E-Governance and Digital Economy Report to serve as a national dashboard for measuring digital government readiness, DPI adoption, and innovation outcomes.
- Working together to strengthen and validate indicators for e-governance and digital reporting frameworks.
- Ultimately, supporting Nigeria’s ambition to improve its UN E-Government Development Index ranking by 2026.
They expressed readiness to provide all necessary support and suggested an initial meeting to discuss modalities and next steps.
