The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, through the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), requested support to mobilize private financing for SDG-aligned projects and participate in the 10th SDG Investment Fair. Technical assistance was provided in 2025 to support the preparation and presentation of the Ngozi Geothermal Power Project (70 MW). TA and investment promotion support for the project is ongoing, and DESA and UNCTAD are supporting the country to present the opportunity at other global fora, including the China International Fair for Investment & Trade in Xiamen in September 2025.
