National Railway Secretariat presented phase 1 of a strategic mega-project at the 10th SDGI Fair. Investors were interested and DESA is facilitating information sharing and further contacts. Additional support from the UN RC and the DCO Regional LAC unit to continue to provide capacity building support to Panama is under consideration, especially given the significance and long-term phased nature of the project being championed through the SDGI Fair.
Request summary
Support the Government of Panama, through the National Railway Secretariat, in mobilizing private financing for SDG-aligned projects and leveraging participation in the SDG Investment Fair.
