Request summary
The Group of Experts on National Accounts meeting is hosted by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in collaboration with the Intersecretariat Working Group on National Accounts (ISWGNA), which includes the statistics divisions of the European Central Bank (ECB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), European Union Commission (EU), World Bank, and United Nations Statistics Division. The meeting aims at enhancing participants’ capacity on a) the implementation of the System of National Accounts, 2025 (2025 SNA) (overview and planning the implementation, globalization, digitalization, well-being and sustainability, and communicating transition to 2025 SNA); b) measuring the informal and non-observed economy; and c) using time series, classifications and data sources.
The meeting will increase technical capabilities to produce high quality economic statistics for the compilation of national accounts supporting data driven decision making for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The funds will cover the travel expenses of one resource person from DESA and a total of four (4) participants from the National Statistics Offices of Albania, Georgia, North Macedonia and Serbia.
