DPIDG was requested by the Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD) to provide support on capacity building, professionalization of cadres in the public sector, and learning between peers (networks-networks), with the aim of strengthening institutions for the achievement of the SDGs in the Region.
The Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD), headquartered in Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is an international public organization of an intergovernmental nature. Its creation was endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly (Resolution 2845 – XXVI) with the idea of establishing a regional entity that would have as its focus the modernization of public administrations, a strategic factor in the process of economic and social development. CLAD’s objective is to promote the analysis and exchange of experiences and knowledge on State reform and the modernization of Public Administration, through the organization of specialized international meetings, capacity development activities, the publication of analytical research, the provision of documentation and information services, the carrying out of studies and research, and the implementation of technical cooperation activities between its member countries and other regions. CLAD represents 24 countries (19 from Latin America, 2 African countries, and 3 European ones)
