2024: scoping mission
2025: Following a request from the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Relations, DESA/DISD plans to organize a series of eight workshops on social protection in PNG during 2025. United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) has agreed to participate and share their experience on social protection in the region. To this end, the UNRCO has offered to fund a significant proportion of the project through unearmarked funding.
