Request summary
The International Workshop on SDMX Data Dissemination and Reporting will introduce the participants to data modelling, mapping, validation, reporting, and dissemination in the context of the Statistical Data and Metadata Exchange (SDMX) standard. The workshop will provide the participants with hands-on skills in commonly used SDMX data modelling and mapping tools, raise the participants’ awareness of the latest developments in the area, promote the implementation of SDMX at the national level, and enable them to share their experience in standards-based data exchange and dissemination.

This event is proposed in response to written comments to the UN Statistical Commission received from Indonesia and Malaysia. Brunei Darussalam is also invited to facilitate regional learning and experience sharing. A resource person from Thailand National Statistical Office is invited to share their experience creating a statistical dissemination platform and national data exchange. A resource person from OECD is invited to facilitate capacity development in the .Stat Suite, a standards-based statistical dissemination platform.

The workshop is planned to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 9 – 12 September 2024 (4 days). At the host country’s request, a Technical Assistance meeting will be held on 13 September 2024.

The event will be hosted by BPS. A total of up to 22 participants from 3 National Statistical Offices are expected, including 5 funded participants each from Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, while Indonesia will send up to 12 participants.
