The request is a follow-up to the capacity building assistance that UNDESA/DISD provided to the Government of Kyrgyzstan on the issues of social inclusion and promotion of the right of social groups in 2023, including support to the national plans and policies for promoting the rights of vulnerable groups through the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the International Classification of Functionality, Health and Disability and modern methods of habilitation and rehabilitation as well as MIPAA that resulted in adopting a national programmatic policy on disability - “Accessible Country” and the Comprehensive Program for Older Persons in Kyrgyzstan which was incorporated in the National Development Strategy 2040.
