The United Nations Statistics Division (DESA/SD) is proposing to provide funding for developing countries and for UNSD to attend the 28th Meeting of the Wiesbaden Group on Business Registers that will be hosted by Statistics Netherlands in The Hague, Netherlands, on 2- 6 October 2023.
The Wiesbaden Group on Business Registers is an international expert group of the United Nations Statistical Commission engaged in further development on business registers, survey frames and related topics. At this meeting, the Wiesbaden Group will exchange views and experiences in the development, maintenance and use of business registers. A capacity building training workshop on the SBR Maturity Model will be organized as part of the meeting to provide guidance for countries to conduct self-assessment on the development of their business registers and to identify areas of improvement.
The proposal concerns a total budget of US$35,582.28 covering the participation of nine participants from eight developing countries from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This proposal also covers the travel of two DESA/UNSD staff members for organizing the workshop on the SBR Maturity Model as part of the meeting agenda.
