Project:
Implications of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the management of forests and trees in Africa.
Objective:
To assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sustainable forest management (SFM) and improve the capacity of selected regional organizations and countries to design/update and improve forest management programmes and action plans in support of socio-economic recovery and inclusive sustainable development
Main activities:
Conduct assessments (5 sub-regional and 10 national) /studies on the impact of the pandemic on SFM and the forest sector including risks, threats and challenges and potential responses and measures for recovery and sustainable development.
