Disabled youths engaged in a football matchThe UN toolkit on sport, development and peace (SDP) will contribute to enhancing capacity amongst Member States and civil society organizations to formulate effective policies that focus on the intersection of sport and sustainable development. Participants will learn how to design, implement, monitor and evaluate effective policies using sport as a vehicle for development and peace based on existing good practices

Learning Objectives: 

The UN Toolkit on SDP consists of eight training modules:  

1. Introduction to the toolkit  
2. Sport, development and peace policies and programmes  
3. Skills training, volunteerism, employability and mentorship 
4. Physical education, physical activity and sport   
5. Safeguarding, integrity and human rights 
6. Values, social inclusion and role modelling 
7. Awareness, advocacy and social media 
8. Monitoring and evaluation of policies and programs
