Introduction to CLEWs

Introduction to CLEWsThis course introduces CLEWs (Climate, Land, Energy, Water Systems) models, essential for sustainable development. Learn to understand their interlinkages, explore key methods, and gain hands-on experience building and analyzing models. Address critical challenges by examining how these systems interact and influence climate change and policy, empowering policymakers for balanced resource planning and resilience.

Learning objective(s):
● How to understand the interlinkages and role of the climate-land (food)-energy-water systems nexus in sustainable development.
● How to identify the components and interactions of energy, land, and water systems to meet demands across sectors.
● How to incorporate climate considerations, including greenhouse gas emissions and climate action strategies, into CLEWs models.
