It examines major anti-corruption conventions, such as the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), and the roles of international organizations in setting standards and supporting enforcement. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of global anti-corruption efforts and how they influence national policies and practices.
This course is based on the Toolkit on Transparency, Accountability and Ethics in Public Institutions that is part of the Curriculum on Governance for the Sustainable Development Goals, developed by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
