Request summary
DPIDG was requested by Christine N. Umutoni, United Nations Resident Coordinator, Mauritius and Seychelles to provide support, in partnership with UNITAR and in collaboration with UN ECA and the MCO, to strengthen the capacities of the Government of Mauritius to enhance policy coherence and a long term sustainable recovery of the country after the pandemic.
In the context of COVID-19 recovery, the DESA-UNITAR support advanced policy coherence and guided integrated decision-making to address short term needs with immediate benefits (e.g. socio-economic response plans) while contributing to longer term sustainable objectives for building back better, bluer and greener (e.g. National Development Plans).
