Notes
FSDO, in close collaboration with the UNCDF Nepal and UNOPS Nepal, provided introductory training on sustainable infrastructure asset management (IAM) for 130 officials from counties across Nepa in Chitwan, on 1-3 March 202. The event was funded by the UN Peace and Development Fund, and organized in close collaboration with the Nepal’s Town Development Fund, Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Finance and Financial Comptroller General Office. Instructions took place in a hybrid mode with two instructors on-site and one expert delivering lectures live online. In addition to an introduction to the basic tenets of asset management, the training included deep dives on asset data and climate resilient asset management. Participants committed to design and implement multi-year Asset Management Action Plans (AMAPs) for their priority infrastructure asset in their respective local government and national agencies. Going forward, a dedicated national consultant will provide AMAP implementation support on the ground for the next 12 months.
