On 16-18 May, FSDO, in collaboration with UNCDF and UNOPS, organized a second Training and Peer Learning workshop on IAM for local government officials in Mombasa, Kenya. The workshop aimed to enhance public sector capacity in implementing the UN IAM toolkits and developing Asset Management Plans (AMAPs) for sustainable development. It focused on newly elected County Directorate and Municipal Managers and benefitted from guidance of detailed diagnostic assessments of the participating counties and municipalities. Participants committed to ensuring that AMAPs are discussed, shared, revised and endorsed in their local governments by end of June and integrated into the upcoming annual budget cycle.
