The request was received from the RCO in February 2020. It was agreed with the RCO to start implementation in Q3 only, hoping that the COVID-19 pandemic would allow for an advisory mission by then. DSDG followed up with the RCO a few times and was advised in December 2020 that a new government had just been elected and that it would be too early to engage in the topic of post-VNR support.

While this request has been closed, DSDG continues to work with RCs from SIDS of the AIS region on a coordination structure and will continue to monitor the situation in the country via the RCO.
