Presentation on 2030 Agenda and role of SAIs developed. Specific inputs and advice provided on the implications of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs for SAIs’ performance audits on environmental programs and on national sustainable development strategies. SDGs included into ASOSAI WGEA work plans for the next strategic period.
The support resulted in:
• Enhanced SAI staff awareness regarding 2030 Agenda and role of SAIs in support of SDGs
• Enhanced role of SAIs in auditing national sustainable development programs and strategies
• Increased knowledge and awareness on the 2030 Agenda and role of SAIs of 47 participants from 21 countries.

DPIDG was requested to provide support to INTOSAI Working Groups on the role of SAIs regarding the SDGs during the 6th ASOSAI Seminar on Environmental Auditing and the 5th Working Meeting of ASOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (ASOSAI WGEA) on 17-20 October 2016, in Jaipur India.
