Technical Mission to Ecuador to discuss digital strategy, integrated institutional approaches and their linkages to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and presentation to University.
The workshop included presentations about Agenda 2030, Digital Government, SWOT exercise, e-Government Measurement and Evaluation Tool (METER).
The conclusions highlighted the importance of establishing a network of Government Chief Information Officers (GCIOs, possibly based on the Colombian model) within various institutions and a mechanism for monitoring SDGs using ICTs and social media. The audience was comprised by senior officials from Ministries of Education, Health, Social Services, Finance, Labour, Infrastructure, Planning, Commission for Gender, Commission for Disabled Persons, Internal Revenue Service, Agriculture and Fisheries, others.
